Mead Oil Tank Explosion Kills One, Injures Three
The explosion happened just five miles from the Firestone explosion in April that killed two.

For the second time in as many months, there has been a fatal explosion tied to property by Anadarko Petroleum. This time it was an oil tank that caught fire and shot flames in Mead. The explosion left one dead and three injured.
The explosion was less than five miles from Firestone where a methane gas pocket caused an explosion killing two people last month.
The Weld County Sheriff's office says that they were called to an area near Highway 66 and WCR 13 around 3:15 Thursday afternoon. The report was an oil tank battery was fully engulfed in flames.
