Missing Fort Collins Mom of 2 Found Dead In State Park

A ranger at Lory State Park found the remains of Kimberlee Graves, 41, who had been missing since December.

FORT COLLINS, CO -- The body of a Fort Collins woman missing for more than a month was found by a park ranger in Lory State Park on Jan. 9. The Larimer County Coroner’s Office identified Kimberlee Graves, 41, as victim of a homicide.

Police have been investigating Graves’s disappearance since early December. Friends last saw Graves at her home the night of Dec. 4. On Dec. 8, a friend of Graves requested a welfare check. Officers visited Graves's home, and found her missing the the house ransacked. Police found Graves's red Toyota RAV4 abandoned in an unattended Fort Collins parking garage Dec. 13.

Daniel Cordova, a friend of Graves, told KDVR that she was "too friendly." Graves had two children, both of whom have lived with other relatives for some time.

Police have continued investigating and following up on tips. Detectives currently do not have reason to believe there is a risk to public safety, they said in a statement.
