Monument Shooting: Man Who Killed Brother Was 'Practicing Defensive Techniques'
Erik Mattyasovsky is charged with reckless manslaughter.

The man who was shot to death in Monument, north of Colorado Springs, was killed by his own brother as the two were "practicing defensive techniques," the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

Deputies had been called to the home near the 19800 block of Alexandria Drive where they found the man, dead.

They arrested Erik Mattaysovsky and charged him with suspicion of reckless manslaughter and prohibited use of a weapon.
"Deputies contact the suspect who admitted he had shot his brother while they were practicing defensive techniques," the sheriff's office said in a release.
