Plans For New Huerfano Courthouse/Jail To Be Discussed

From Huerfano County: The public is invited to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, to learn about the need for a new Huerfano County judicial center.

Speakers at the meeting, scheduled at 5:15 p.m. at the Historic Fox Theater, 715 Main Street, in Walsenburg, are Huerfano County Commissioners Ray Garcia, Max Vezzani and Gerald Cisneros; Third Judicial District Chief Judge Claude W. Appel; representatives of Anderson & Hallas Architects P.C.; and Alan Matlosz of the Colorado Public Finance Group of George K. Baum & Co.

The speakers will provide information about the need for a new judicial center in Walsenburg. They also will display a proposed site plan and building plan, and discuss financing options.
