Sex-With-Student Counts Thrown Out For CO School Superintendent
A Lincoln County jury dismissed six of seven counts against former Karval SD Supt. Kenneth C Weber. A mistrial was declared on one count.

LINCOLN COUNTY, CO. – Six out of seven counts of sexually assaulting students were thrown out in court against a rural school superintendent accused in 2016.
A Lincoln County jury on Monday dismissed all but one count of a pattern of sexual assault of a child by a person of trust against Kenneth Cody Weber, 37. The charge is considered a Class-3 felony. The jury could not reach a decision on the fifth count, and a mistrial was declared, the 18th Judicial District Attorney said in a statement.
Weber, 37, was placed on administrative leave as superintendent of the tiny 43-student Karval School District. He was accused in 2016 of sexually assaulting at least two underage girls whom he hired as babysitters beginning in 2009, while he was an agricultural science teacher in Limon.

A December, 2016 police affidavit said Weber plied underage victims with alcohol and assaulted them at his home and on out-of-state school field trips. One student allegedly kept a diary of the experiences.
Weber denied the accusations, reportedly telling investigators, “Unless you can have sex through a hug there is absolutely no possibility of that.”

The 18th Judicial DA's office will decide whether to re-try the fifth count at a status conference on Wednesday, May 16.
Karval is situated 75 miles east of Colorado Springs and 45 miles south of Limon.
