ARVADA, CO — Three young brothers are being hailed as heroes for discovering a fire at a neighbor's house in Arvada and taking action. The boys were playing outside when they noticed the fire and called for help.

Walter, Ernie and George found a fire extinguisher in their dad's garage and gave it to their mom to help extinguish the blaze, Fox 31 reported. The trio remained calm and made sure their own home and animals were safe.

It's no surprise who they got their expertise from — their dad is a firefighter in Castle Rock. In fact, Walter — the eldest of the three — got out a notebook and drew pictures to investigate where the fire could have started.
