ARVADA, CO — The 2020 Arvada Harvest Festival joins a long list of canceled Colorado events amid the coronavirus pandemic. The 95th annual festival was scheduled to run from Sept. 11 to 13, but Arvada officials were unable to grant organizers a permit.

"The decision is in consideration of the recent rise in coronavirus incidence rates, and the unpredictability of the health crisis and subsequent changing public health guidelines," the city stated in a news release.

"The City acknowledges that the cancellation of this event will be disappointing, as the event evokes a great deal of community pride. The City of Arvada has been a proud partner of the Harvest Festival for many years, providing significant in-kind support each year, and providing public safety and traffic control support during the event."
