Arvada Center Nominated For Multiple Henry Awards
The Colorado Theater Guild will honor local theater productions, directors, actors, costume and set designers June 23.

ARVADA, CO –The Arvada Center for the Arts is up for numerous awards for its 2017 performances from the Colorado Theater Guild. The Guild announced nominations for the 13th Annual Henry Awards, which will take place Monday, Jul. 23, 2018 at the Lone Tree Arts Center.
The Arvada Center dominates the nominations, including for awards for:
- Outstanding Season for a Theatre Company
- Outstanding Production of a Play for "All My Sons" and "Sense and Sensibility" both directed by Lynne Collins
- Outstanding Production of a Musical for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" directed by Gavin Mayer, Musical Direction by Roberto Sinha.
- Outstanding Direction of a Play "Sense and Sensibility" by Lynne Collins
- Outstanding Direction of a Musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" directed by Gavin Mayer and "A Chorus Line" direct by Rod A. Lansberry.
Arvada Center actors Lance Rasmussen, Jessica Robblee, Zachary Andrews, Geoffrey Kent and Jessica Austgen are also up for awards.

The Colorado Theater Guild also bestows awards for costuming, ensembles, lighting, sets and everything else theatrical. (See the whole nomination list here.)
The Henry Awards honor "outstanding achievements during the past season" and raise money for the Colorado Theatre Guild as an annual fundraising event. The awards are named for longtime local theatre producer Henry Lowenstein. "Nominations are determined through a judging process conducted by more than 100 statewide peer professionals, academics/educators and other theatre lovers," the Guild said.
