Arvada City Council Hosts Forum On Coronavirus Pandemic

Arvadans can submit questions for city leaders before the forum, which will be held Monday.

ARVADA, CO — The Arvada City Council will host a remote public forum Monday to discuss the city’s response to the ongoing health crisis caused by the new coronavirus. The forum will include service delivery updates from the city team, a discussion of potential next steps, and questions and comments from the public.

The forum will begin at 6:15 p.m. after the Arvada City Council meeting. Both events will be held remotely using webinar technology.

Community members can submit questions and feedback for the forum in advance and during the forum by emailing COVIDresponse@arvada.org. Those who do not have access to email can submit questions in advance until 5 p.m. Monday at 720-898-7000. Calls will not be taken during the forum, officials said.

The council business meeting and the forum will be broadcast live on Comcast channels 8 and 880, and can also be viewed on the city's website here. The business meeting agenda will be posted here Friday. Recordings of the meeting and forum will be available online the following day, officials said.

The city continues to work with health officials and other local municipalities to "determine the next level response, consistent with recommendations from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment," officials said.
