ARVADA, CO — In preparation for Fire Prevention Week, the Arvada Fire Department has announced an escape plan contest. Local families and children who have a home escape plan are encouraged to participate. Residents are asked to submit a photo of their escape plan and a photo of their family in their chosen meeting place to pio@arvadafire.com. Families that are selected will be highlighted on a banner that's showcased at the fire station nearest to their home during Fire Prevention Week and will receive a special gift basket from the fire department.
