Arvada Parks Seek Volunteer Rangers

Are you good with the public and love the great outdoors? Arvada Parks has a volunteer opportunity for you.

ARVADA, CO – Does your idea of fun consist of zooming around on golf scooters throughout Arvada's trails? Have you always wished to be a park ranger in another life?

Arvada Parks and the Arvada Parks Advisory Committee are looking for volunteers to work/play as park rangers in the most heavily used areas of Arvada parks and trails, starting in mid-August.

They're seeking friendly people who can commit three three-hour sessions a season to help deal with the public, especially in the evenings, at the Arvada Dog Park, Long Lake Sports Complex, Ralston Creek Trail and Birds Nest Disc Golf Course. Volunteers are expected to report any problems to a district supervisor and will perform "light duty maintenance" such as removing graffiti, cleaning up trash and repairing signs.
