Arvada Police Find Homicide Suspect In Garfield County Jail
Arvada police obtained an arrest warrant for a man who is currently being held in jail on unrelated charges.
ARVADA, CO — The Arvada Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for a man who's being held in the Garfield County Jail. The man is a suspect in the death of a 38-year-old woman whose body was found June 19 in the 6400 block of Welch Court, police said. Her death was ruled a homicide.
Christopher Moffat, 36, is currently being held in the Garfield County Jail on unrelated charges.
The woman who was killed was later identified as Veronica Sarinana. Her mother told 9News that Moffat had a violent history and assaulted her daughter while they were in a relationship. Sarinana began to grow intimate with Moffat's brother before she died, 9News reported.

Moffat then tried to frame his brother for her death, according to an affidavit obtained by 9 News.
