Arvada Police Warn Residents Of 'Dangerous' Summer Driving Season
Arvada police are cracking down on drivers who don't obey traffic laws.
ARVADA, CO — The Arvada Police Department is warning of a "dangerous" summer driving season. With more vehicles hitting the road during the summer months, there will be increased police presence in and around Arvada, with officers cracking down on drivers who don't obey traffic laws.
In May, there were 45 fatalities on Colorado roadways, according to CDOT. In the department's Region 3, which includes the Denver metro area, at least 25 people have died since March.
The Arvada Police Department posted an alert reminding residents of the dangers of speeding and other violations, citing recent statistics gathered by driving tests:
