Arvada Theater Presents: 'Lost In Place' -- One Night Only

ARVADA, CO -- Boulder's 3rd Law Dance/Theater presents a reprise of the company's "Lost in Place" performance for a special one-night-only show in Arvada.

Arvada Theater for the Arts and Culture presents "Lost in Place," a concert/ performance with " quirky interludes featuring shoes, suitcases, trunks, typewriters, birdcages, and juggling balls, this theatrical evening takes the audience on a rich and thought-provoking journey."

The show will be staged June 9 at 7:30 p.m.

Created by 3rd Law Co-Founders Katie Elliott and Jim LaVita, the show explores the idea of a ‘sense of place’, particularly the theme of losing a sense of place, the founders said.

"The ways that people experience such loss of place--by choice, by force, by chance--are myriad. At the turn of the 20th century, millions of Southern and Eastern Europeans voluntarily left their home places, while just a few years before thousands of Native Americans were forcibly relocated," a press release said. ‘Lost places’ can also be real or imagined "places of the heart," such as childhood or family, which represent lost places, as does death, the place of no return, the journey with the ultimate “one-way ticket," the producers said in a statement.
