Brighton Teacher Investigated For Alleged Sex Misconduct

BRIGHTON, CO -- Brighton police are investigating allegations of sexual misconduct by a middle school teacher, the department said in a press release. Police received allegations that a staff member at Overland Trail Middle School (OTMS) behaved in a "sexually inappropriate manner" with students at the school, police said. Another staff member is being investigated as to whether mandated reporter obligations were met by the employee, police said. School District 27J has placed both staff members on administrative leave while the police investigate.

"The school is cooperating fully in the investigation," the police said.
