Seo's Martial Arts Academy Celebrates Grand Opening of New Arvada Location with Community Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

ARVADA, CO – Seo's Martial Arts Academy is proud to announce the Grand Opening of its new facility located at 6395 Sheridan Boulevard, Arvada, Colorado. The community is invited to join the celebration on Saturday, July 18, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

A special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m., featuring the Mayor of Arvada and members of the Arvada City Council. The event marks an exciting new chapter for Seo's Martial Arts Academy, which has proudly served the Arvada community since 1999.

For more than two decades, Seo's Martial Arts Academy has been committed to developing strong character, leadership, confidence, and respect through martial arts training. As a value-driven, family-friendly school, the academy continues its mission of positively impacting students and families throughout the community.

The Grand Opening celebration will bring together community members, local businesses, and public safety partners, including representatives from the Arvada Police Department, Arvada Fire Department, and Colorado State Troopers. It will also feature world-renowned martial art figures (bio’s can be found below).

Bio’s of Special Guests

Grandmasters James and Simon Kim, internationally known as The Tiger Twins, are 8th Degree Black Belt Grandmasters who have dedicated more than five decades to advancing Tae Kwon Do throughout North America. Born in South Korea and raised in the United States under the guidance of their father, the late Grandmaster Sang Soo “Tiger” Kim—a pioneering figure in the development of Tae Kwon Do in America—they have trained thousands of students, promoted more than 10,000 Black Belts, and inspired generations through martial arts instruction, demonstrations, and community service. In addition to their distinguished martial arts careers, the Tiger Twins have appeared in major film, television, and live-performance productions, earning international recognition for their contributions to martial arts, entertainment, and philanthropy while continuing to honor and preserve their father’s legendary legacy.

Grand Master Han Won Lee is a 9th Dan Taekwondo Grandmaster, Olympian, internationally recognized coach, and community leader who has dedicated more than five decades to the advancement of Taekwondo in the United States. After immigrating to America at age 12, he trained under Great Grand Master Hwa Chong and went on to become one of the nation’s top competitors, earning a bronze medal at the 1988 Olympic Games and serving as Team Captain of the 1992 U.S. Olympic Team. Following his competitive career, Grand Master Lee served as Head Coach and National Team Director for USA Taekwondo, leading American athletes to five Olympic medals, seven World Cup medals, and eight Pan American Games medals while earning recognition as the U.S. Olympic Committee’s Coach of the Year. Since founding Han Lee’s Taekwondo Academy in 1996, he has built one of Colorado’s largest martial arts organizations and has impacted thousands of students through education, leadership, and community outreach. Today, he serves as Chairman of the Board of the World Kungdukwon Federation, Executive Director of the Taekwondo Humanitarian Foundation USA, and President of the Colorado Korean Sports Organization, continuing his lifelong mission of promoting excellence, service, and the values of Taekwondo.
