ARVADA, CO — The Cereal Box in Olde Town Arvada is shuttering for good, the business announced in a statement. Known for giving customers a chance to "take a trip down memory lane," The Cereal Box served more than 120 varieties of cereal from around the world.

"This year hasn't been what any of us expected. We've fought every day, not willing to give up, and we did all we could," The Cereal Box owners posted on their website. "Some things are just beyond our control. Our lease is up and we no longer have a space to operate the business, and we must now close our doors permanently."

The business opened three years ago to offer people a "fun, whimsical" experience, filled with "cereal, cartoons, treats and toys," owners said.
