Grandview Trolley: Arvada To Host Virtual Open House
Arvadans are invited to take a survey and join an open house to learn about the plan to welcome back the #.04 Trolley.

ARVADA, CO — Arvada plans to welcome back a part of its history — the #.04 trolley — and wants to hear feedback from residents about the plan.
A virtual public open house will be hosted at 6 p.m. Thursday, and the city has also launched a survey.
For decades, the #.04 Denver Tramway Streetcar — dubbed 'the trolley' — took riders between Olde Town and downtown Denver. The trolley took its last trip in July 1950, and became the last streetcar to operate before the closure of the tramway system.

The trolley has been completely refurbished, inside and out, and restored. Heritage groups are working with the city to bring the streetcar back to Olde Town Arvada.

The city is working with the Friends of the #.04 Trolley, the Denver Tramway Heritage Society and Colorado Preservation Inc. to bring the streetcar back to Olde Town.
In order to retain the trolley's protected historic status, the Colorado Historic Preservation Review Board must approve the location and site plan for the trolley. The plan is to place the streetcar just east of the Grandview Bridge, along Grandview Avenue — an area that is very close to the original trolley junction and rail line.
Arvadans are invited to give their feedback on the site plan and other details. You can register for the virtual open house here, and take a survey here.
