WHEAT RIDGE, CO — A Jefferson County jury found a 22-year-old man guilty Tuesday of a robbery in January that left an 87-year-old woman severely injured, according to the First District Judicial Attorney. The jury deliberated two hours following two days of trial.

On Jan. 7, Wheat Ridge police were called to the Dollar Tree at 44th and Harlan, where they found the elderly woman injured, the DA's office said. She was taken to the hospital, where doctors said her injuries created a "substantial risk of death." She suffered a fractured elbow, cuts, bruises, and abrasions.
