Man Sentenced To 36 Years For Beating, Strangling Woman
Philip Arndt Coy, 46, beat his partner until she suffered a collapsed lung, rib fractures and many other injuries, prosecutors said.

GOLDEN, CO — A man has been sentenced to 36 years in prison for an attack on a woman that prosecutors called "brutal," the 1st Judicial District Attorney's Office said.
In February, 2019, Westminster Police were called to a hospital in Broomfield after a woman arrived there with a collapsed lung, rib fractures and other bruising and contusions, the DA's office said.
"Earlier that day Coy attacked her, punching her in the face and head. He grabbed her by the throat and strangled her until she lost consciousness," read a news release from the DA's office. "He jumped on her, slamming into her rib cage and then dragged her through the house by her hair. Two days prior he had sexually assaulted her."
