Recycle, Repair And e-Bike In Arvada This Summer
Arvada has resources and events planned for cyclists of any age or ability.
ARVADA, CO -- The City of Arvada wants to get you out on two wheels (or three) this summer with special resources for cyclists. The city partners with enthusiast and advocacy groups such as the Arvada Bike Advisory Group to create a summer's worth of events for Arvada cyclists.
This weekend, celebrate Arvada's 150 miles of trails with the Arvada Trails Festival Saturday, June 2.
Two special rides have been developed for the festival.

The Family Ride will be a 4.5 mile ride on trails and bike friendly streets. "You will be on seldom usesd trails and see places in Arvada that you never knew existed," event organizers said.
The Rec Ride is an 18 mile ride and has a new route this year. "You will be on bike friendly streets and follow the Van Bibber Creek, Blunn and Ralston Creek Trails. There will be some great views as you head west to Long Lake before returning down hill."

Bike Recycle Event, June 9
Bring your beater or outgrown cycles to Arvada's Bike Recycle Event Saturday, June 9. Bike recycling wizards at A New Spin Bike Recyclers will refurbish your cycle for someone who needs a new one. in the process, they teach job skills to at-risk youth and kids and adults with disabilities. Recycling drop-off takes place 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Arvada's Streets Maintenance Facility, 6161 Olde Wadsworth Blvd.
Bike Repair Stations
The city has installed seven bike repair stations across town for those annoying little cycling emergencies.
Aid stations let cyclists rack their ride and then use the "attached screw drivers, open end wrenches and Allen wrenches to make minor adjustments and repairs to the bike." Everything but air is provided.

- Arvada Reservoir parking lot on the west end of the Ralston Creek Trail
- Gold Strike Park
- Ralston Central Park
- Stenger Soccer Complex/Van Bibber Trail
- Secrest Recreation Center (to be completed soon)
- Tomlinson Park
