SWAT Barricade Ends With Burglary Arrest In Arvada
Arvada police ended a multi-hour standoff with a man accused of breaking into an Arvada home.

ARVADA, CO -- A four-plus hour police stakeout in Arvada Wednesday ended in the arrest of a suspected burglar, police said.
Police responded to a home invasion/burglary call in the 6700 block of Arbutus Street around 3:30 p.m., and found the suspect still inside the house. The residents of the house were evacuated. A regional SWAT team surrounded the house Wednesday afternoon, until the man inside surrendered and was taken into custody around 7:50 p.m.
Police did not immediately release his name.

Arvada Police Respond to a burglary in progress in the 6700 block of Arbutus St. Officers arrived around 3:30 pm to find a suspect still in the home. Occupants evacuated, suspect contained in the home. Regional SWAT team responded and suspect was taken into custody at 7:50 pm.
