ARVADA, CO -- Colorado's best-selling author, autism advocate and science superstar, Temple Grandin, will share some of the inventions she created as a child and how she came up with them at an interactive presentation for children of all ages at the Arvada Center Monday, May 21.

Grandin's new book, Calling All Minds: How to Think and Create Like an Inventor, describes "more than 20 of her personal childhood projects that started her on her road to becoming a scientist, inventor, and engineer, along with step-by-step instructions for kids to re-create them." The book also features mini-biographies of inverts throughout the centuries.

Grandin's national book tour stop will include an activity period for kids featuring projects from the book, a presentation, and book signing. Grandin believes "in a world of virtual learning, working with your hands is a life-changing experience," according to a statement.
