- Losses from Marshall Fire expected to exceed $2 billion. Last December's Marshall Fire will go down as Colorado's most expensive wildfire. The fire destroyed nearly 1,100 homes and so far, has caused more than $2 billion in losses to homes and businesses.(9News)
- Superior candidates discuss Marshall Fire and the town's future at candidate forum. Questions from residents to Superior mayoral and trustee candidates focused mostly on Marshall Fire recovery plans and how the town would continue to support businesses and residents as the town rebuilds from last year's devastation. - Wildfire sparked by weed trimmer. A wildfire on Highway 36 on Thursday afternoon burned 19-acres before being extinguished. The areas between Lefthand Canyon Road to Nelson Road on the north and Heil Valley Ranch were evacuated as a precaution. The sheriff's indicated that the fire was accidental. (KUSA)
- Trail repairs to Mount Sanitas reveal need to re-design some of Boulder's most loved open spaces. The trail maintenance project on Mount Sanitas, which receives roughly 300 visits per day, is undergoing a series of repairs to retaining walls and new stone steps. With the trail's heavy, it also comes with the need for more frequent maintenance and costs for upkeep. (Reporting Lab)
