The quickest way to get caught up on the important things happening in Boulder today.

Hey, neighbors! I'm back with your new edition of the Boulder Daily. Here's all the community news you need to know right now.
Friday's weather: Mostly sunny. High: 90 Low: 60.
📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Boulder who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.
I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Boulder Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.
Here are the top stories today in Boulder:
- The monsoon season is over, did it give us the water we needed? Forecasters are predicting that we're headed for a warm, dry fall this year. (TBD)
- Western states should lead the charge on Colorado River issues. During U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit she stressed that the U.S Congress is looking for the watershed states to lead the way. (CPR)
- Lyons thinking about creating its own set of gun restrictions. The Town of Lyons is developing its own version of an ordinance that would be different than others that have been challenged, including banning open carry within town limits. (7News)
- Aspen's Bob Braudis remembered. When the famed, former Pitkin County Sheriff, Bob Braudis, died on June 3 in his small, one-bedroom apartment, he owned almost nothing. Braudis was a believer that his "friends were his currency." He was memorialized recently at a ceremony in Aspen. (CPR)
- Albums on the Hill plans to close soon after this weekend's "Last Hurrah" sale. I can't begin to tell you how many records I bought in the 1980s and 1990s at Album's on the Hill – so it's sad to hear they're closing up shop after a long run on the Boulder Hill. (TBD)
Today in Boulder:

From my notebook:
- Labor Day sales can be found all throughout downtown this weekend. From the East End to the West End, enjoy the long weekend with a little retail therapy and sales up and down Pearl Street. (Downtown Boulder)
- Boulder County Government: "Project design is currently underway for the Highway 36 Intersection Improvement Project. The purpose of this project is to improve intersection safety on U.S. 36 north of Boulder near Lefthand Canyon Drive." (BOCO)
