Alleged Kidnapper Nabbed, Drunk Cyclist: Boulder Police Blotter
Falling off wall while drunk, erratic driving, resisting police while shouting racial slurs, burglaries and more.

BOULDER, CO -- The following incidents were reported in the Boulder police blotter and call logs Dec. 1-6, 2017. These items represent only a portion of the incidents responded to by Boulder Police.
Dec. 6
- Officers assisted Plateville police in locating a kidnapping suspect in the 600 block of Manhattan Drive. The 20-year-old man was taken into custody and transported to meet with a Plateville officer for transfer.
- A burglary was reported in progress around 9:15 a.m. in the 1400 block of Spruce St.
- A burlagry was reported around 3:30 p.m. in the 3700 block of Talisman Place.

- A 23-year-old woman was arrested after an officer observed her driving erratically near Broadway and Kalmia. The driver refused to stop and ended up striking a curb and then a parked vehicle at approximately 11th and Cedar. The female exited the vehicle and began to run on foot. She was apprehended quickly and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Vehicular Eluding, Obstruction and several other violations.
- A burglary in progress was reported around 4:50 a.m. in the 2400 block of Colorado Avenue.
- A burglary was reported around 11:20 a.m. in the 2000 block of Grove Street
Dec. 3 Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of West Moorehead to check on the welfare of a 34-year-old man. They found him deceased inside his residence. Nothing suspicious was noted. The coroner's office was notified and responded.
Dec. 2 An 20-year-old man was intoxicated in the area of 14th Street and College Avenue when he stumbled, walked off a retaining wall and hit his head as he fell. He suffered serious non-life threatening head injuries and was transported to Boulder Community Health.

Dec. 1 While on patrol, officers saw the Boulder Fire Department assisting a party down on the bike path at Broadway and Marine. The male was highly intoxicated and ran from officers. As they were enroute to the jail, the suspect yelled racial slurs and spit at police. After they arrived, he kicked one of the officers in the chest. The 19-year-old man was charged with Second Degree Assault on a Peace Officer, Obstruction and Possession/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor.
