  1. Boulder's perennial adventurer publishes book and has 165,000 followers on YouTube. Ryan Van Duzer's new book "The Long Way Home" was released Dec. 13. The book chronicles one of Ryan's early adventures when he rode a bicycle from Honduras to Boulder. (CO Sun)
  2. Decades later, daughter of original investigator still searching for JonBenét's killer. Lou Smit's dying wish was that his daughter continue the search for the person that killed the six year-old beauty queen. Cindy Marra is a paralegal at a Colorado Springs law firm, and she says that finding JonBenet's killer is a "matter of family pride." (9News)
  3. Marshall Fire survivor researching how to save pets. Creating a plan to save animals when a wildfire strikes is part of a nonprofit's mission. A recent CU study discovered that more than 1000 pets were lost in the Marshall fire. David Crawford is working on an app that will connect neighbors to help neighbors during a disaster. (FOX31)
  4. What's the big deal about the atmospheric river? Big snowfalls are expected in the west as the weather pattern that's referred to as an atmospheric river. This atmospheric river is essentially a conveyor belt of moisture that's pulled into the air from the Pacific Ocean and transported by the jet stream, and then eventually becomes snow in the mountains.
