Here are the top stories in Boulder today:
- DIA expecting large influx of holiday travelers through the weekend. Some 600,000 travelers are expected pass through the Denver International Airport's TSA checkpoints during the Thankgiving holiday week. That's an increase of more than 12 percent from the same period in 2021. (Gazette)
- Beavers have become established in Boulder Canyon. According to Dave Hoerath, wildlife biologist with Boulder Parks and Open Space, beavers have been building dams in Boulder Canyon for the past decade, and their work has taken a foothold along the course of the creek. (CU Magazine)
- Niwot's Annual Holiday Parade returns. Santa returns to Niwot on Saturday morning as part of the town's annual Holiday Parade. The parade starts at 11 a.m. Participants will march down 2nd Avenue from Murray Street to Niwot Road. After the parade, Santa will be in the Grange until 1 p.m. (Niwot)
- Section of Superior trail temporarily closed. The Superior trail will be closed until Dec. 24, as part of a repair to a damaged retaining wall. Barricades have been placed along the street to separate trail users from traffic as part of the detour that will keep the trail open to users. (Hometown Weekly)
