Bicyclist Struck By Car In Boulder

The bicyclist was seriously injured on Foothills Parkway, Boulder police said.

BOULDER, CO — A bicyclist was struck by a car Saturday in Boulder near the Foothills Parkway and Arapahoe Avenue intersection. The man was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.

A car was traveling south on Foothills Parkway at about 11 a.m., when it went over a median on the east side of the street and struck the bicyclist, according to the Boulder Police Department.

The victim was described as a man in his 50s or 60s. It's not known whether his injuries were life-threatening.

Boulder police were called to the scene just after 11 a.m. and the traffic unit was investigating. It doesn't appear that alcohol or drugs were involved, police said.
