Boulder Celebrates Grand Opening Of 13th GreenStreet
The City of Boulder is inviting the community to attend an opening celebration of 13th Street Neighborhood GreenStreet.

BOULDER, CO — The City of Boulder is inviting the community to attend an opening celebration of 13th Street Neighborhood GreenStreet. The event will include a ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication to Al Bartlett, Boulder’s cycling pioneer.
The event will be held Thursday, Sept. 5, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., on the multi-use path at Olmsted Park, 3170 Broadway, behind the North Boulder Recreation Center. After the gathering, the community is invited to join in a group walk or bike tour of the GreenStreet.
The city has installed new signage, striping and pavement markings on 13th Street to improve pedestrian and bicyclist safety and comfort from Iris Avenue to the Boulder Creek Path.

GreenStreets, which are part of the city's Low-Stress Walk and Bike Network Plan, are roadways with low-vehicle volumes and speeds that are prioritized for bicycle and pedestrian travel. GreenStreets feature improvements that increase comfort and safety for pedestrians and bicyclists of all ages and abilities, the city said.
