Boulder Celebrates Opening Of New Trails, Corral Trailhead
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held to celebrate the opening of Corral trailhead, connected trails and new Grindstone Quarry trail.

BOULDER, CO — The public is invited to a grand opening celebration of new trails in Boulder County. The Corral trailhead, connecting trails and the new Grindstone Quarry trail have now been completed.
Boulder County Board of Commissioners and Parks & Open Space staff will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Heil Valley Ranch, northwest of Boulder. An equestrian parking lot has also been completed in the area, and the historical Altona School has been restored.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 4 p.m. at Heil Valley Ranch Corral Trailhead, 1188 Geer Canyon Rd.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the event, hike the new trails and explore the one-room schoolhouse. Staff will be on hand to talk about the new additions and improvements.

The new trails bring the trail miles at Heil Valley Ranch to 19.5 and Heil Valley Ranch now comprises just over 6,230 acres. Because of sensitive wildlife habitat at Heil Valley Ranch, dogs are not permitted.
