Boulder County Coronavirus Update: 170 New Cases Reported
Here's the latest news about the coronavirus in Boulder County, and a case breakdown by municipality and CU Boulder.

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — Over the past week, 170 new cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Boulder County — a far lower weekly number than the county reported over the past month, public health data shows.
The gathering limit for people ages 18 to 22 in Boulder was loosened Tuesday as Boulder County continues to see a decline in total cases.
As of Thursday, 4,954 people in the county had tested positive for the virus since the outbreak began. The death toll reached 83 after two people died over the past week.

Around 222 people have been hospitalized since the outbreak began, according to Boulder County Public Health. More than 81,000 people have been tested in the county — over 7,000 were reported in the past week alone.
CU Boulder reported only two new cases Thursday.

Boulder County Public Health released the following municipal breakdown of case numbers, which include both probable and confirmed cases as of Thursday:
- Boulder: 2,854 total cases
- Longmont: 1,071 total cases
- Lafayette: 291 total cases
- Louisville: 207 total cases
- Superior: 77 total cases
- Erie: 72 total cases
Unincorporated Boulder County: 289 total cases

Over the past week, 5,299 new cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Colorado, according to public health data.
"We've gotta get this number down, and if we continue this trend, our hospitals will be in jeopardy," Gov. Jared Polis said during a news conference Tuesday.
"We have to be able to get this under control by Thanksgiving and the holiday season."
As of Thursday, 81,918 people have been infected with the coronavirus in our state among 1,050,566 people who have been tested since the outbreak began, health officials confirmed.
Around 8,127 people have been hospitalized, and the death toll has reached 2,029.
