Boulder County Coronavirus Update: Death Toll Up To 63
Here's the latest news about the coronavirus in Boulder County, and a case breakdown by municipality.
BOULDER COUNTY, CO — More than 1,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Boulder County since the outbreak began, health officials confirmed. The death toll in the county has reached 63.
Over the past 10 days, there have been at least 30 new cases confirmed in the county, according to government data.
Since the outbreak began, around 483 people have recovered in the county and 169 have been hospitalized, according to Boulder County Public Health. More than 9,100 people have been tested in the county since the outbreak began.

The agency released the following municipal breakdown of case numbers in the county, which include both probable and confirmed cases as of Tuesday:
- Boulder: 266 cases
- Longmont: 493 cases
- Lafayette: 95 cases
- Louisville: 50 cases
- Superior: 11 cases
- Erie: 16 cases

Longmont has the highest rate of cases per 100,000 people — 513.6, followed by Lafayette (328.2) and Boulder (249.9).
Boulder County services have been reopening in-person to the public with new health and safety guidelines in place.
The City of Boulder has launched a business recovery program that aims to help restaurants expand their outdoor seating into public and private areas. The city is following the statewide safer-at-home restaurant order, which allows eateries to open if they follow public health guidelines amid the coronavirus pandemic.
As of Wednesday afternoon, 28,499 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Colorado among 227,761 people who have been tested since the outbreak began, health officials confirmed. Around 5,035 people have been hospitalized, and the death toll among people who tested positive for COVID-19 has reached 1,573.
