Boulder County Coronavirus Update: More Than 1,000 New Cases

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — Over the past week, more than 1,000 new cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Boulder County, according to the latest public health data.

As of Thursday, 11,799 people in the county had tested positive for the virus since the outbreak began. The death toll reached 129 after 11 deaths were reported over the past week.

Around 355 people have been hospitalized since the outbreak began, according to Boulder County Public Health. More than 194,000 people have been tested in the county.

Coronavirus cases reported over the past week:

• Boulder: 281 new cases; 4,862 total cases
• Longmont: 601 new cases; 3,856 total cases
• Lafayette: 127 new cases; 908 total cases
• Unincorporated Boulder County: 123 new cases, 868 total cases
• Erie: 29 new cases; 237 total cases
• Louisville: 61 new cases; 469 total cases
• Superior: 29 new cases; 176 total cases

Boulder County Public Health is launching weekly community COVID-19 updates, officials announced Thursday. The sessions, which will be held at 3:30 p.m. every Wednesday, will include the latest information about the pandemic in the county, and an opportunity for community members to ask questions.
