    The Youth Transportation Program just released a guide to explore options to get around Boulder County! Families can use the guide as a checklist to explore ways to get to school, work, friends' and family members' homes or anywhere you want to go.

    Last month, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) proposed new transportation pollution reduction standards to help reduce pollutions and greenhouse gas emissions. The proposal will shape how state and local governments make plans for future projects to make sure there are more travel options and the infrastructures supports cleaner air.

    CDOT is accepting written comments on the draft rule through Oct. 15. All written comments should be submitted to dot_rules@state.co.us before 5 p.m.

    Monique G. López is a Social Justice Planner and founder of Pueblo Planning, an anti-racist values-driven participatory planning and design firm that intentionally engages and includes communities that are often left out of the planning process and those most vulnerable to the impacts of planning decisions. This includes Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQ, unhoused, and other communities that experience marginalization. Monique utilizes storytelling and participatory art-making to engage communities in the planning process in order to dismantle unjust systems and co-develop equitable communities.
