Boulder County, Colo. - On Sunday, July 11, 2021, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Boulder County Communications Center received a report of a grassfire at the southwest corner of the intersection of N. 83rd St. and North County Line Rd., in northern unincorporated Boulder County, southwest of Berthoud. The fire burned approximately 3.3 acres of tall, dry grass and charred a wooden power pole. Fire personnel had the fire under control by around 3:15 p.m. and remain on scene as of 4:15 p.m. cleaning up hot spots.

No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported. The origin of the fire was determined to be a power pole, however, the cause of the fire is unknown; foul play is not suspected.
