Boulder Dragging Car-Jacking: Police Release Photos, Video
Boulder police released a surveillance video of a woman accused of dragging the owner of an SUV as she stole it from a gas station lot.
BOULDER, CO -- Boulder police released a video of a woman ditching an SUV she allegedly stole in an incident where the vehicle's owner was dragged across the parking lot of a Boulder gas station. The car was stolen at a Conoco gas station in the 4700 block of Baseline Road on April 8 around 8:25 a.m.
Police said the car's owner saw her get into his car and tried to intervene, but she "put his car in reverse and dragged him across the parking lot" causing "serious bodily injuries." The woman also struck another person in the parking lot, who refused medical attention. The SUV's owner has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home, police said.
Denver police found the SUV in a 7-Eleven parking lot in the 7200 block of East 7th Avenue about 90 minutes after the carjacking. Video surveillance showed the SUV backing into a cement pillar and the woman leaving the car and took off on foot.
