Boulder Man Sentenced For Not Paying Undocumented Workers
Chad Faubus was sentenced to four years of probation after he pleaded guilty to not paying undocumented workers.
BOULDER, CO — A Boulder man was sentenced to probation and ordered to pay more than $25,000 in restitution after he pleaded guilty to not paying undocumented workers. The man gave the workers insufficient fund checks and then threatened to report the workers to authorities when they complained, according to an affidavit.
Chad Allan Faubus, 43, was sentenced to four years of probation Tuesday. The workers he hired included carpenters, electricians, landscapers and tile installers. Faubus threatened to report at least three of the workers to Immigration and Customs Enforcement when they asked for their full paychecks, according to the affidavit.
Faubus was required to pay $20,000 of the restitution at his sentencing, which he followed through with, according to the Daily Camera, which first reported the story.
