Boulder Police Seek Public's Help In Bike Crash Investigation
A man was seriously injured in a crash, police said.
BOULDER, CO — The Boulder Police Department is asking any witnesses to come forward after a bicycle crash near 28th and Canyon Boulevard Tuesday. Police were called to the scene at about 6:27 p.m., and found a 43-year-old man with serious injuries. He was transported to Boulder Community Health.
"A witness noticed a silver 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan near the cyclist just before the crash," police said in a community alert. "There is no indication, at this time, that the vehicle made contact with the cyclist, however the incident is being investigated by the Boulder Police Department Traffic Unit."
The man was wearing a yellow T-shirt and brown cargo shorts at the time of the crash. He was riding a child-size red BMX bike, police said.
