Boulder Presidential Primary 2020: Sample Ballots, Deadlines
For the first time in two decades, Colorado will host a presidential primary. Here are sample ballots and important dates for Boulderites.
BOULDER, CO β Boulder County elections officials have issued lists of important deadlines for the upcoming presidential primary. All counties in our state will oversee three elections in 2020.
On March 3 β Super Tuesday β voters will cast their ballots for Democrat and Republican candidates.
Elections officials are encouraging Coloradans to make sure they are registered to vote and that their voter registration is up to date.

On Jan. 18, ballots were mailed to all military and overseas voters. Monday was the last day for voters who are registered with a political party to change that affiliation or register as unaffiliated in order to receive the corresponding ballot. Now, anyone registered as a Democrat will receive a Democrat ballot and registered Republicans will receive a Republican ballot. Voters who are registered as unaffiliated will receive both ballots, but can only return one.
Voter Service and Polling Center and ballot drop-off locations will be announced in Boulder County soon, elections officials said.

Important upcoming dates in Boulder County:
Feb. 8: A free public presentation on the upcoming elections will be held at the Longmont Museum. The presentation, which will be around 45 minutes with a Q & A session after, will also include information on election security and voter statistics. RSVP here.
Feb. 10: Elections officials will begin mailing ballots. Ballots can take up to eight days to arrive.
Feb. 24: Voter Service Centers open. This is the last day to register and still be mailed a ballot and the last day to request a replacement ballot be mailed to you. Note: Colorado doesn't have a registration deadline. Eligible voters can register and vote on the same day at any Voter Service Center. See eligibility requirements.
Feb. 27, Feb. 28 and March 2: Election Open House & Ballot Processing Center Tours will be held in 30 minute sessions. RSVP and choose your time slot here.
Mar. 3: Election Day. All ballots must be received by 7 p.m. (postmarks do not count).

Elections officials are also reminding voters that 17-year-olds who will turn 18 years old by the General Election Nov. 3, 2020, can now vote in the primaries.
