Boulder Public Vote To Be Held For Racial Equity Resolution
The Boulder City Council will hold a public hearing and vote Dec. 17.
BOULDER, CO — The Boulder City Council will hold a public hearing and vote Dec. 17 on a proposed Racial Equity Resolution. The resolution aims to help the Boulder community "better understand the roots and impacts of racism and to send a clear message from council about its support for the issue," city officials said.
The vote and public hearing will be held at the regularly scheduled council meeting, 6 p.m., in Council Chambers, at 1777 Broadway. The meeting will be livestreamed on Boulder’s YouTube channel for those who cannot attend.
The resolution, which was drafted by a team of city staff members, is part of a process facilitated by the Government Alliance on Race and Equity. A draft of the resolution is available here.
