  1. Boulder has a repair program for manufactured homes damaged by winds that sparked the Marshall Fire. The City of Boulder has announced the launch of a new grant initiative to aid in the repair of over 400 manufactured homes affected by wind damage from the Marshall Fire. The program is planning to cover manufactured housing communities in areas outside of Boulder city limits through a collaboration with Boulder County. (Broomfield Enterprise)
  2. Boulder Starbucks votes to unionize following in the footsteps of other Colorado stores. Workers at the Starbucks near the CU campus have officially voted to unionize — making them the first location in the city and 9th in the state to take the step. Other union stores in Colorado have struggled to get their first contracts after months of delays. (CPR)
  3. Specialized Bicycle layoffs hit Boulder office. Specialized announced that it will be cutting 8 percent of its workforce as part of a company-wide "transformation." The layoffs will be affecting employees globally. Approximately 120 workers in the U.S. will be impacted by the layoffs, including company employees in Boulder. (Bicycle Retailer)
  4. Keep an eye on your pets, its coyote mating season and they become more aggressive. During the mating season from mid-January to mid-March, Colorado Parks and Wildlife is reminding pet owners to be extra cautious as coyotes may become more aggressive towards pets, and in rare cases, people. To protect smaller dogs and cats, it's recommended to keep them on a leash during walks and to keep an eye on them when they are outside in the yard. (FOX31)
