BOULDER, CO — The National Weather Service has released a promising weekend weather forecast for the Boulder area. Residents can expect a clear sky and temperatures that will rise back up into the 80s.

This week's snowy and rainy weather helped battle wildfires in Colorado, and smoke pollution on the Front Range has cleared significantly.

Boulderites can expect a sunny sky Saturday with a high near 77, and southwest wind around 5 mph, weather officials said.

The clear sky will continue Saturday night with a low around 47 and wind gusting around 6 mph.

A sunny sky is also expected over Boulder Sunday, with a high of 82 and west wind around 5 mph. Then a clear sky is predicted Sunday night, with a low around 51.

The sunny trend will continue Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the mid 80s.
