Here are the top stories today in Boulder:

  1. Downtown Boulder "Atrium Building" is now a historic Boulder landmark. Boulder City Council voted last week to preserve the building located at 13th Street and Canyon Boulevard, adjacent to the Boulder Bandshell. It's owned by the city and was built in 1969, designed by architect Hobart Wagener. (CO Daily)
  2. National Brotherhood of Skiers attracts more Black skiers and snowboarders. The NBS' mission is to develop and support athletes of color in winter sports and they're going old school this year in Steamboat. (Patch)
  3. It's that time of the year to get a box of Girl Scout cookies or 10. Here's how and where to order. There's even a new cookie this year and this year, you can shop for the tasty bites only. The bad part? Like everything else, prices have gone up a little bit. (5280)
  4. Wastewater tested to track COVID-19 trends. Last Friday the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention began including information tracking COVID-19 in wastewater in Colorado, as a way to anticipate virus spikes. (Patch)
  5. Didn't have renter's insurance? Marshall Fire survivors face another type of challenge. Recovery services may be on the way for renters whose homes were contaminated by smoke and ash, but most are navigating replacing ruined belongings on their own. (CO Sun)

  • Boulder County Trail Clousures: The Picture Rock Trail at Heil Valley Ranch is closed due to muddy conditions. All trails at Heil are now closed. Anticipate additional closures over the next day or two as snow will most likely be melting rapidly with the forecasted warm temperatures. (BOCO)
