BOULDER, CO — City of Boulder officials have planned information sessions and questionnaires to gather residents' feedback on two land use code amendment projects.

Both the community benefit project and the tables and standards project are "designed to accommodate the changing needs of the community and community members," city officials said.

The community benefit project is evaluating which specific community benefits should be required in exchange for additional building height, intensity or density, the city said. Community members can view details of the project and provide feedback on the Be Heard Boulder page for the Community Benefit Project. Residents can also register for a community information session, which will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. The public can ask questions at the meeting or submit them beforehand at aldrichm@bouldercolorado.gov.

The use tables and standards project is evaluating changes to zoning use standards, which would enable better walkable access to small mixed use neighborhoods. The project also aims to "enhance the use mix in existing neighborhood centers, update the code to be more simplified and understandable and otherwise, better align the land use code with city-adopted policies," city officials said.
