  1. America's aging infrastructure impacted by heat waves and flooding. As heat waves are pushing power grids to their limits, and floods are impacting water systems in the U.S., climate impacts are adding to the growing maintenance backlog. (The Conversation)
  2. Boulder voters get to weigh in on climate tax this November. The proposed expanded tax proposes to raise millions to help the Boulder adapt to climate change. The new tax will raise money from residential, commercial and industrial electricity consumers. (CPR)
  3. Boulder organizers sued for defamation are fighting for first amendment rights. The defendants appealed a ruling to the Colorado Court of Appeals using Colorado's provision that prevents SLAPP suits (Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation).   4. Federal Landmark name changes in Colorado. 28 landmarks that included the word "squaw" have been changed in Colorado, along with more than 650 across the country have been swapped out after a federal effort mandated removing the long-used slur. (Out There)
