  1. Climber falls 80-100 feet off Second Flatiron. A 48-year-old male was free soloing the Second Flatiron and fell, hitting numerous rocks on the way down. Reports from those on the scene were that the climber had sustained serious injuries. (Out There)
  2. Boulder considering opting out of FAMLI program. Boulder City Council decided to opt out of Colorado's Family and Medical Leave Insurance program at last night's council meeting. By not participating, it will save the city nearly $1.37 million per year. (Subscription: Boulder Daily)
  3. DIA gets a Voodoo Doughnut shop. The Portland-based doughnut maker has opened a new shop at the Denver airport. A fourth location is planned for Boulder. (9News)
  4. City of Boulder removing invasive trees from open space. Beginning next week, the City of Boulder will begin a program of removing invasive tree species – including green ash trees – from city open space. This planned work will remove dead and dying green ash trees in hopes of minimizing further spread of the Emerald Ash Borer. (Boulder)
