Climber Seriously Injured In Boulder Canyon Fall

A man was flown to a Denver area hospital after a climbing accident in Boulder Canyon, officials said.

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — A climber was hospitalized in serious condition after he fell between 25 and 30 feet in Boulder Canyon, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said.

Rescue crews were called to the 32000 block of Boulder Canyon Drive around 4:15 Thursday, and found the 34-year-old man unconscious, officials said.

More than seven agencies responded to help rescue the climber. He was transported to the roadway, where a Med Evac helicopter flew him to a Denver area hospital.

The rescue took about two hours, officials said. Boulder Canyon Drive was closed in the area during the rescue.
