CO Wildlife Officers Seek Person Who Shot Deer With Crossbow
Wildlife officers were forced to put down a deer that was found suffering with an arrow in its head in Coal Creek Canyon.

COAL CREEK, CO — Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials are seeking information about a deer that was found with a crossbow arrow in its head in Coal Creek Canyon. Wildlife officers were forced to put down the deer, officials said.
The deer was found suffering from its wound near Highway 72 and Copperdale Lane.
The deer had to be put down Sunday over concerns about infection and continued suffering, wildlife officials said.

"We are seeking information from people who may be aware of individuals lawfully or unlawfully hunting deer with crossbows in the Coal Creek Canyon," CPW said in a tweet.
