Colorado State Patrol, Vitalant Host Blood Drive
A new blood drive in Colorado will test for COVID-19 antibodies, organizers said.
The Colorado State Patrol is working with Vitalant to host a 'virtual blood drive' in February. All successful donations will be tested for antibodies, organizers said.
"Donations of blood often see a sharp decline in the winter months and the COVID-19 epidemic has complicated things further, cancelling many blood donation events across our state," Colorado State Patrol said in a news release. "But the need for donations is still there."
Coloradans can sign up to receive an invitation for the blood drive here. You can then choose a location and time that works best for you, organizers said. Using the same email address, you can choose 'schedule now' to book an appointment at any blood donation location.
